WYOMING COUNTY/WASTE MANAGEMENT SOLID WASTE COLLECTION GUIDELINES COLLECTION DAYS
Thursday - Town of Orangeville
HOLIDAY COLLECTION SCHEDULE: Holiday Schedule When an observed holiday falls on a normal collection day, collection will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week. The following holidays may result in delayed collections: New Year's Day - Memorial Day - Independence Day - Labor Day - Thanksgiving Day - Christmas Day
Cart Placement for Automated Trash and Recycling Collection • Place your carts at least 3 feet apart and 3 feet away from any obstacles (trees, cars, mailboxes, etc.) to allow the automatic arm to lift and empty the cart. Place the wheels of cart toward the house..
Automated Trash and Recycling Service Guidelines • Trash will be collected weekly. Recycling will be collected every-other week.
Please see calendar for collection schedule. • Place all materials at the curb the night before your scheduled collection or by 6 a.m. the day of your pickup. • Please bag your trash before placing in the trash cart to prevent blowing of loose trash. Make sure all materials fit in the cart with the lid firmly closed. • Empty your recyclables directly into your recycling cart. • Place your carts at the curb the night before your scheduled collection or by 6 a.m. the day of your pickup.
If you have any normal household garbage that is not recyclable and does not fit into your cart, you can place the excess garbage in 30 gallon bags and affix an extra capacity sticker on each bag. Stickers can be purchased at the Municipal Hall for $5.00 each. After affixing the sticker to the extra bag you can place the extra bag next to your trash cart for collection. Any bags without the sticker will not be collected. An additional trash or recycling cart can be purchased by contacting the Wyoming County Planning Department. There will be an additional cost associated with the additional cart purchase.
